Mid-season recruiting…

Not only are OU officials rooting for Baylor this season so are Big 12 Conference officials.  It will likely take a final four appearance for the conference champion to turn around conference recruiting.

Big-time players want to play in big-time conferences; conferences that have a shot at national championships.

I have searched all of the recruiting services to put the best face on the mid-season recruiting for the Big 12.  The ESPN chart is the best that I have found and as you can see the Big 12 has a lot of work to do.

Having a team in this year’s championship series would give the conference a huge boost.

Taking a look at today’s ESPN’s team rankings we find only two Big 12 teams ranked in the top 30 with Baylor at #14 and TCU at #21.  The other power conferences leave us in their dust…
